Default I Never Find Help

I never really get any useful help when I post on here.

I feel like I can't talk to my therapist. She seems too old for me to be comfortable talking about Trans s**t. I'm not trying to be rude, but you know that generally older generations are less tolerant to LGBT type s**t.

I'm not comfortable talking to my family about being Trans or whatever the f**k I am. I'm not out to them yet. Only out as a gay female.

I have so much s**t on my mind yet I have nobody to talk to.

I don't want pity. But that's all I'll get here. And I can't talk anywhere else so I won't get anything from anybody else. But pity doesn't help. Death would be easier than dealing with this s**t. But I won't kill myself. F***ing b*llsh*t.

Ask your therapist if she is trained in helping people in the Trans* community?
If she is not, ask her to please help you to get to a trained therapist.

You are going to have to be (respectfully) direct in order to make sure you are truly with a therapist able to help you.

Again, age is not something that disqualifies an open-minded therapist. Some of the best Trans* therapists are older; I mean ages 55-72 y.o. I have gotten into this with you in more detail on some of your other threads, so I will limit this part of the age discussion here.

What other kinds of help are you looking for here? I will try to help if I can do so.

There are increasingly frequent posts now by people who are questioning or are clearly identifying as Trans*. I think this is all very exciting and may lead to a more active/interactive Trans* forum here!

I'd like to help if I can.

Default Re: I Never Find Help

Update: so I accidentally came out as sort of trans/non binary to my mom. A guy on Facebook was making some ignorant statements about trans people and I made a comment about biological sex and gender being different and how I'm biologically female but I'm not ACTUALLY female. I commented it not thinking about how my mom would most likely see it. My dad unfriended me and my stepmom blocked me on Facebook so I didn't worry about them seeing it, and most of my other family members don't comment or share any of my posts, so I assume they don't see them. And I don't care if the handful of people who actually read my posts know I'm trans or whatever.

But yeah, my mom saw it and asked "you aren't talking about yourself are you?" And I responded "I Never Find Help uuuuuhhhhhh soooooooooo"and it took several minutes for me to come out and say it, but I did. My mom told me that she felt kinda bad that I don't feel like I'm either gender. But other than that it was cool. Lots of hugging. She wasn't saying anything in a bad way or anything like that. I can tell she was surprised but I know she's open minded and supportive. I'm glad she finally knows, but as it's only been a few days now, I'm not comfortable talking about it quite yet.

Good for you!
I am glad this went well!

You will open up more when you feel more ready.

How is it going with your therapist?

Take care of yourself.

I haven't seen her again yet. I've been busy with work and school. I plan to see her soon though and then start going consistently.

Hi NewSmoke15 ,

It is the dysphoria that you are feeling , and your are right it does sux.

Being dysphoric myself , I get where you are coming from. We need to have the world understand and we need to be able and willing to teach , teach an ignorant society that dysphoria hurts. It at times can be like an emotional toothache , we have life cycles within our dysphoria that can cause a number of real life issues , issues that you are presenting in this thread.

The world needs to understand that the dysphoric individual , be it Male to Female or Female to Male , it does not matter. We have to remove biological aspects from the equation.

Dysphoria is a feeling , being Trans is a thought of action , more often than not our dysphoria dictates that course of action.

I have been studying the effects of dysphoria for awhile now and the term Gender-Dysphoria can not be applied in all cases. Many trans people never experience dysphoria , and transition without any emotional issues. Then we have people who for what ever reason have not transitioned and the effects of dysphoria can be emotionally crippling.

I hope you find peace , just remember you are you. I person in need , be as perfect as you can , because tomorrow is such a short time away and everything can change.
Granted , your life may not be prefect tomorrow , but you will have many tomorrows , and one will have your name and true self written all over it !!

Take care
