Heart Re: New member introductions thread - Who are you at The Haven?

Hi, I just joined and think I screwed up because I already posted a response to "Hates Weekends". Sorry about that. I joined because I've always been helped by sharing my difficulties with others (IN A SAFE PLACE OF COURSE) and listening to the experiences of others. Been dealing with anxiety/depression and associated disorders all of my life, on a daily basis, as are you. Much therapy, group and individual but was most helped by a wonderful therapist with whom I had a relationship of many years' duration, until she retired. I still need all the help I can get, tho.

Blessings to you all! Looking forward. ---Mopey

I'm Liz, Lizz and Lizzi.
I knowingly came apart just this year in February after a lot of really terrible events (brother died, aunt died, cat of 14 years died, marriage fell apart...) I have PTSD, Lizzi has anxiety and Liz has depression, and either mpd or some type of borderline. What I have seems to be rarer than mpd because we are all aware of one another and can "weave" in and out and call others forward to present. I'm trying to integrate into one specific personality and she's not the original so it's really hard. I'd love tips!!!

Hi Dr. John, my name is Susan and I have a 21 yr old son with pure O OCD. He is currently in a 6 week outpatient program using CBT to control his OCD. My question is when he has rage attacks and destroys doors in the house and punches my or his step-fathers car how do you react to that? While it is happening it is very scary and afterwards my son is upset and feels terrible. As his parent I need advice on what to say or how to react.
Thank you, Susan
