Default Explaining things after they're done

I found myself needing to explain something to a friend after we talked about the topic. I thought it would be for the best so he won't think I'm lying (it was something minor), but I turned out to feel worse after talking about it. It was a topic I did not want to discuss in the first place, but my anxiety about the relationship made me do it
