Default Experiences like today are why I have social anxiety

Today I went to the movies with my parents to watch Jumanji. I have already posted here about how my parents are overprotective and make me wear a crazy amount of winter clothes. So I was wearing my giant parka with a winter coat under it and my snow pants and big winter boots. When we got to the movies I took my coats off but kept my snow pants and boots on. While waiting to go into the theater some kid goes to his mom ďwhy is she wearing snow pants sheís not skiingĒ. When he said that literally like 15 people all turned and looked at me. I could feel myself getting so red from the embarrassment. Then after the movie, while we were still in the theater lobby, my mom helped me get my coats back on in full view of everyone. Then just like I was a little kid she pulled the hoods up and wrapped me up in my scarf. I could feel all the people staring at me, probably wondering why I was wearing so much winter clothes.

This is why I just wanna stay home and not go out in public.

Thanks for that itís very sweet. Iíll think about it tomorrow when I walk into school wearing all my coats and snow pants and boots. Iím gonna try to ignore the smirks and the laughs when I waddle over to my locker and get my coats and winter gear off. At least Iím toasty warm in my layers while everyone else is freezing their butts off. Iím literally always so bundled up that I never feel the cold at all.
