Default Was I sleep walking?

I fell asleep in my bed, like normal, maybe feeling a bit upset and stressed, and the next thing I know, I am kneeling on the floor next to my high boy dresser (which sits next to the window about 3 feet from my bed) and I'm staring at the space between it and the cat's scratching post, directly at the curtains.

I can't, for the life of me, recall why I was there, on the floor, staring at that spot. All I can remember is that I think there was a "secret" wire there in my dream that I was trying to get a closer look at, and when I did, it whipped upward out of my field of vision, and I was left blinking myself awake.

I seem to do a lot of things like this when I'm sound asleep. Like talking to my mother, or grabbing something on my nightstand, like a bag of chips I put there before I fell asleep, and eating the chips before I'm fully awake.

Am I sleep walking? What is going on?

Sounds like sleep walking to me. Are you taking any sleep meds like ambien? Those can cause us to do strange things.

No. No sleep meds. I sometimes take melatonin but I didn't do it that night.
