Default Sleep..It's under control. I think..

I used to deal with some major sleep issues. Within the last year they have finally gotten under control.

I did a sleep study this time last year. I went in for a few reasons. The biggest one was that I was constantly tired and could fall asleep within minutes at any given moment. I also dealt with nightmares, extremely vivid dreams and waking up several times throughout the night. I did the night time study as well as the day time one.

I was diagnosed with hypersomnia and they havenít ruled out narcolepsy just yet.

To help with my sleep throughout the night I was put on prazosin for the nightmares and gabapentin to help consolidate my sleep more. Both helped tremendously, but I was still having issues with needing to sleep throughout the day. So about a month ago I was put on Provigil to help with the excessive sleepiness.

Thanks for sharing your experience, Justbyou. I know many members, here on PC, struggle with sleep issues. I have some of my own as well. I hope you continue to make progress.
