Default Dreams that make me feel sick thinking about

Iíve noticed that, every so often, Iíll have a dream that seems like an ordinary nightmare, but in the days that follow, make me feel physically ill to think about. The latest one was a few days ago, when I had a dream that one of my friends was in an accident, and a family member was describing in great detail what surgical procedures had to be done to help her. At the tail end, just before I woke up, that friend kissed me in the dream (Iíll clarify now that I have no romantic feelings for this person). And now, thinking about it brings on the gross feeling one may get after a bout of getting sick, and that odd thickness in the back of my throat. Itís how I think I would choose to describe dying? I guess? Itís hard to explain. It happens once like every three or four years.

Is there an explanation for that sick feeling and why it happens for only a select few dreams? Has anybody else experienced this? Itís really strange.

Dreams are all about our feelings. This feeling happens when you are feeling sick.

I'm sorry I don't have an explanation for this. However here are links to some articles, from PsychCentral's archives, on the subject of dreams & dream interpretation. Perhaps some of the information in these articles can help you to figure out what is happening with regard to these dreams:

Yeah I have dreams that make me sick to my stomach. 2 nights ago I had a dream where one of my cats was dying. Last night I had a dream where I was in the middle of Lake Erie with one of my other cats. He was drowning and then he went under the water and the water was so murky I couldnít find him. Luckily I eventually was able to find him.

This just proves how much I love him even though heís an unfriendly jerk.
