Anything you do to intentionally harm yourself is self injury. Banging your head, slapping yourself, ripping out hair, biting yourself, scratching yourself, i knew this one girl who broke her bones with canned vegetables once. Apparently it's very hard to do. The story was terrible, I'm glad I never walked in on her doing so
