Well done PsychNitrous!

Are you saying that you have not been kind to yourself during these two weeks?

Don't forget every hour is a battle won and a mountain climbed all by itself!

I hope you can be kind to yourself and acknowledge each achievement, even 20 mins can be a triumph, even though it may not feel like it.

I was advised to praise myself every 20 mins that I was able to resist. It felt weird to start with, but after a time I was surprised how it seemed to slightly shift something in me in a good way.

Thank you so much Fizzyo. Everyone said I am too hard to myself and I have to be kind to myself but I still find it hard to do. I find that praising myself is one of the hardest things to do.

Not very kind, no. I haven't intentionally hurt myself, but I've done things that I know I won't enjoy, and not entirely because they need to be done. Plus I was pretty hard on myself last week for not being able to do some things I normally do, like work out, because I was injured.

I'm sorry that you were injured.

:sadhug:

To what extent (if any) does being unkind to yourself, choosing things that you don't enjoy, helps you stay away from intentional physical self-injury?

Thanks, I'm happily healing very quickly. I guess really the only thing that these things have done to keep me from intentional SI is just keeping me too tired to do anything. I'm sure I've mentioned here before that I typically SI in the morning, but lately I've been taking a medication that makes me so tired I can barely get ready for work when I wake up, much less have time to SI.

Thank you! @Bill3 :)
Well, I've been over eating lately, which may not be the best option to cope because I use it for similar purposes as SI... but I'm trying not to beat myself up for it and keep taking care of myself.
I've realized that the first 3-5 days SI clean are always the hardest for me; but once I get through that it gets a little easier. I hope I can make this last.
Take care everyone ❤️

94 days since I sliced my arm open , 93 days since I had surgery on it. Have only had the urge to do it once since but I never followed through.
