Hello, no-thing. Tolle is not a major influence for me.

I wish you well.

i happened upon one of his books, A New World, i think it was called, and enjoyed it very much. i read very little, but he has a way of speaking plainly and with deep insight that i liked.

Me, too, no-thing. I have his first book The Power of Now on CD, read by him. I listen to it regularly. Just looking at his peaceful countenance is soothing to me.

I've watched a few videos on YouTube of talks he's given. However, my major influences have been Jon Kabat-Zinn, Pema Chodron & classical Chinese & Zen poetry. I believe I have learned more about meditation & the enlightenment journey from reading classical Chinese & Zen poetry, than from any other source.

I'm a massive Eckart Tolle Fan. I listen to his audio books and watch his retreat videos daily.

I was reading "A New Earth" when my mom died. That book got me through it. I now have alls his books and some on CD, which I keep on my iPad so I can listen to him anywhere. He's awesome.

The story of Eckhart Tolle is very inspiring, as are his books and talks. I think what he says is inspiring but every once in a while I just put the player on pause or put the book down and listen and feel my breath going in and out and just being keenly aware of what is. This deep drenching in silence seems to help me cope with my day and my nights.
