something super simple that i made recently:

elbow noodles, butter, garlic salt, parmesan cheese

it turned out super yummy and it's also super simple and easy to make for real cheap

i'm not very good at cooking either, but if you can cook noodles without a problem, then i'm sure this will turn out good!

Thumbs up Re: What are your favorite easy recipes that you can make for under $20

One of my favorites is beef or turkey enchiladas. They just use 3 ingredients: Meat, salsa, and cheese.

They are simple and quite cheap to make. Filling too.

I'm not too creative with cooking either.

Spaghetti is always cheap, as well as "stroganoff" type casserole dishes. Mix the cooked noodles in with ingredients like ground beef and cream of mushroom soup. You can mushrooms too.

This is all I can think of at the top of my head.

Thanks, I've been cooking like crazy lately. Tonight I'm making a chuck roast in the crock pot with pepperoncinis, au jus gravy, and a ranch dressing mix. I'm excited to see what it taste like as the house smells sooo good.

Chili, meat , dark kidney beans, chili beans , powder chili seasoning, can tomato paste , shredded fiesta cheese.

One pot and many leftovers if you add lots of beans,

Now I need to make a pot lol

Wow, chili sounds amazing! I've never made it before, every time I come across a recipe it has like 16,000 ingredients that I don't have..

Stir fry over rice.

Your protein of choice, I normally use 2 chicken thighs, cut into bite sized pieces.
Mixed vegetables. I use frozen vegetable mixes, since living on my own if I buy fresh vegetables they spoil before I can use them. (I use about a third of a bag)
garlic
Ginger
soy sauce

put a little oil in a non stick pan, add the protein, garlic, and ginger, and stir fry it, until cooked, usually about 5 min. Add the vegetables, and stir fry until heated and cooked through, maybe another 5 min. Add the soy sauce to taste and stir to coat the ingredients.

As some of you may know, my blog is currently off-line due to some problems at my previous site host. I'm working with my web master to rebuild and get back on-line.

Hmm here's a few off the top of my head:

Pasta with feta, sun dried tomatoes, (defrosted then cooked) frozen broccoli
Baked sweet potato with black beans and salsa
Refried beans on toast
Miso veggie soup
Fried tofu and veggie stir fry (can use frozen stir fry mix) with rice or quinoa
