When you have done all you can do with a situation and done it to your best ability without it blowing up in your face.

I think the word success is a poor measuring stick that humans use to make themselves feel better.

It's not attainable

To have a goal in mind and finding a way to achieve it is defining it simplistically.

This might be a bit off base, but I've thought about it. Ha. If I designed something and became the next Bill Gates, I would just want enough money to myself to live comfortably. You know: living in a nice neighborhood, saving up for kids (if I have them), retirement plans, etc. I would donate the rest of my the money I would gain to charity or make up my own charity like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. I wouldn't want a bunch of houses that I only visited a few times out of the year or a bunch of the newest technology, etc.

I think that, personally, I define success as being unique in a world that wants you to follow norms and social constructs. Not being unique in the sense that unique is what you search for and go after. Not like you only want to be "unique" but to be yourself and not to be ashamed of it. First you need to accept yourself and your limitations, then you can worry about other people.

Doing what you love without caring about the opinion of and independently from others, while loving and helping the ones you care about.

Taking each day as it comes and simply putting one foot in front of the other. Having a zest for life as I fight the health obstacles that try to take life away. Being the most honest and supportive partner I can be to my Husband.
