My Mom taught me many things. She taught me what love is and what it is to be loved. She taught me that not everything is in my control. She taught me to understand that hurt people hurt people. And in her death she taught me not to take for granted time or people. If I have to opportunity to tell somebody I love that I love them I will because it may be the last time that I get to do so.....

My grandmother, children, books and music.

My paternal Grandmother for loving me unconditionally.
My mother for being there to emotionally abuse me. (taught me self reliance)
My deceased friend, Bulldog, for always being there and loving me flaws and all.

I would say my daughter. She taught me what real mother/daughter love was supposed to be, how much it swells in your heart and how it transforms you. That is the most important thing I have ever learned.

A girl I barely knew. She was struggling so much, yet always had positive messages to give.

After leaving my husband I found myself in a pretty hot relationship. When it became long distance we went our separate ways. While romantic is was no love match but I experienced more that year than any in my life.

This fellow was a musician. He introduced me to a whole new world.

This fellow was an active outdoors enthusiast. He introduced me to kayaking, climbing, the back country, spelunking (exploring caves), etc, etc.

He was also First Nations with a very strong connection to the earth and his traditional spirituality - which he kindly shared with me.

This was highly rewarding relationship.

I learnt so very much about the true me and what had been missing. I found direction and purpose for the first time.

For me is my brother. He has taught me to be brave and to never give up no matter what happens and what other people say.

I have been the recipient of a lot of bad advice. Who taught me the most? ME. I've had to unlearn so much.
