Thanks, DocJohn! As one who recently received a secondary dx of borderline personality disorder, I appreciate having this new forum dedicated to the topic of personality disorders/traits.

Hi, Thanks so much for trying to help people like my self to understand what their problem is and how to cope with it. IM new here and Im not sure how to leave a message on the message board. That's why Im writting to u. IM dying inside and Im not sure why, I been going for help in the last 6 years and I saw atleast 10 pros who told me 10 different things. I was giving medication for Bipolar disorder, perosnality disroder, adult ADHA, anixty disorder, and a few aother thing. Im 35 years of age and It's getting worst by the day. Not married yet, no girl friend ( when I do have one it usually lasts for no more than 6 months), never leaned how to drive because Im so scared because I can't foucus. I took the Adhd test, persoanlity test and depprisson test and I scaored hi on all three. this is the greatest country in the world and it's just sad to see how hard is it for someone like my self to get help. whenever I go see a Dr for the first time they don't even spend more than 10 minutes with me, I feel all they really do is guess. I feel like I have something that not too many people have out there. I have so many mixed thoughts, no feelings. I feel like Im outside my body ( no self image) and I feel like Im connected to everyone and everything around me. I been living on my own for about 10 years and I feel like I need to be alone because of all the crazy thoughts in my head that don't make any sense what's so ever. Im always worried and not sure what about. Plz help me and tell me what to do. Im not a mean guy and I tried to be one with my Dr's so they can help me and so they wont take advantage of me.( i guess people can tell when someone is lost and weak and they take advantage of it ). That didn't work. I know it's hard for anyone out there to tell me what's really wrong with me but Im giving it a try and hope God answers my prayers. Thanks for reading and God bless.

This forum sounds like the right place for me because it is very open. My problem is much more general than a relationship problem, so I am looking forward to the advice of the courageous people who will read my long post. Your website is a great help in general !! I need advice about my behavior and it seems that US psychological websites are dealing much more with behavioral strategies than French ones. Sometimes, analyzing just brings you so far. Or am I wrong ?

I found out loads of info on Doc John including his experience as a mental health professional, books, television appearances.... just by typing in Dr. John Grohol in your search bar. I love the fact that there is a licensed professional behind this on line support group. I have read many of Doc John posts and threads so I know he does respond and post when he can, but I also think (my opinion) he is leaving room for everyone here to help each other instead of just relying on him and his professional background.

Thanks for starting Psych Central and being here when you can Doc John.

Its sad to hear your predicament and I also feel a little like you. So lets not be so sensitive to the negative and be responsive to the possibility that there is a way out. Is that way out? I know you know I know. It's time to say NO to the negative and YES to the positive. You trust youself to trust others and it matters little if it's right or wrong. So continue to trust yourself anyway always in all ways. The way and its conseqences. In maturity we discover the consequences are not so great yet they are our mate. Ever encouraging us to sustain our motivation. So rejoice and be bold in tribulation for you are precious and not one soul will be lost. Jesus was a boy too. And His examples are not all revealed and that is because some things are left for us to see and experience leading to an intimacy that is personal real and unique. You are real personal and unique and I thank you for touching my resolve. May the Spirit of Life and Sound resonate resoundingly in our being one. Nice ne One.
