Default Considering marijuana tincture

Where I live marijuana is legalized. You don't need a doctor's okay to purchase it or anything like that. I am considering it for anxiety.

I am extremely stressed and anxious and have asked my health care provider counselor to put in a request for a short supply of diazepam. She has refused. Instead she has offered to request an SSRI even though I told her and it is on my record I get severe reactions to SSRI's. I don't want to take an SSRI now or ever again. I have taken diazepam in the past and have no adverse side effects. Still, my health care provider refuses.

I have been thinking maybe I should purchase a small amount of marijuana for my anxiety.

The counselor said she did not recommend marijuana...but I am past the point of taking her advice.

I am thinking of short term use of marijuana to help with severe anxiety.

I am considering a marijuana tincture and wonder if anyone has experience with a tincture.

I don't have experience with a tincture because marijuana isn't yet legal where I live, however, I would encourage you to use it for your anxiety.

Marijuana has done more for my anxiety than any prescription drug ever will and believe me, I've been on dozens of different medications.

Of course your counselor won't recommend it; health professionals are conditioned in medical school that any type of "natural" or "alternative" medicine or treatments are bad because big pharma wants people to keep buying their so called "medication" which have a host of negative side effects with many even causing long term damage; they need people to be ill so they make money.

I refuse to ever take their poison again; I would sooner die.

Marijuana is true medication and it is what we humans have used well before pills were developed and it helped people ease stress, anxiety, depression, and plenty of other issues while helping communities bond with each other.

I wish you well with your journey. May you find happiness.

Well, I did it. I went to the best of the green pharmacies in the area. I collected a whole lot of information. I purchased a tincture. Upon coming home I took 1/4 the recommended dosage. It has been about 25 minutes since I took the tincture. I feel relaxed and with reduced anxiety. Not high. In fact, I think 1/4 the recommended dose is just fine. Very cost effective.

I feel empowered. I never have to rely on Big Pharma again.

Being an old hippie I know the cautions I need to take. For those out there who are curious...you need to get information on whatever product you purchase from a green pharmacy. The one I went to is very friendly and stylish. You need to present your driver's license. You then wait in a very normal looking waiting area. Someone eventually comes out and escorts you back to the dispensary which is behind a locked door.

My counselor said she wouldn't recommend marijuana because it "caused anxiety." Obviously she was not aware of the different strains...some for the mind...others for the body. Tinctures can contain a hybrid of these two. It is pretty pathetic how ill-educated this counselor was about a natural, alternative medicine. But in general I have found that medical doctors look down on all herbals of any sort even though in Europe, I believe, various herbals are prescribed for anxiety.

Just as diazepam should be taken "as needed" so with this product. It is not to be abused.

I also feel comforted by the fact I have found my alternative to synthetic drugs. I will probably use this sparingly, along with valerian (an herb) and passionflower (another herb) -- No more begging for anxiety relief and having it denied!

I don't use tinctures myself (I just use a bong), but marijuana definitely helps with my anxiety. It relaxes me, food is more enjoyable, and oddly enough it motivates me to get stuff done. I am more likely to do chores when high than not. If it helps you, I say go for it! I never outright recommend it to people because everyone is different and some people have negative reactions, but if someone with anxiety reacts well to it, I think it can definitely be helpful.

Man I need to get out of this garbage state that I live in; it is probably one of the worst when it comes to "street drugs" which they consider marijuana as bad as meth or cocaine; what a bunch of backwards idiots.

I have been wanting to move up to WA state for the longest time; unfortunately, because cost of living is almost double to where I live now, I will need to wait until I save up a bunch of money and get to where I can reliably earn a stable income before I move

I will cure my issues one day with alternative treatments; unfortunately, I still will have to wait awhile because money always holds me back.

Thank you for your candor. When it was first legalized I smoked marijuana. It helped with low back pain. Alleviated within a week. But then I quit smoking cigarettes and at the same time quit smoking marijuana because I wanted totally clean lungs. I don't think I will vape marijuana because I like the condition of my lungs now. The tincture is great for me as I am used to taking other herbal tinctures. Also....my apartment complex doesn't allow any smoking. It is a new building and if someone smokes marijuana in their apartment you can smell it in the halls, even on different floors. Must be something to do with the air ducts.

There are no jobs where I live. I have to move apartments because mine is too expensive. I probably won't find another decent place to live. If I stay here I could end up homeless. I might as well take advantage of the fact I have a marijuana dispensary ten minutes away. The downside is the expense. The amount I bought would probably be used up by others in a week. This purchase will have to last me 6 months! So as long as I am here suffering in "paradise" I might as well take advantage of the perks. And forget about the $4.00 coffee at Starbucks.

I just did a lot of research. Drug testing still includes marijuana where I live. Even though it is legal in the state it is not legal by Federal Law. So it could affect hiring and employment. Forget it! It was fun while it lasted (today) but now I will tuck my marijuana tincture away -- only to be used in a rare emergency. I don't know how widespread testing is -- but it was done when I got hired at my last job. I guess I didn't think anything about it then. I am certainly not going to do anything to mess up getting a job.

Guess it's back to valerian and passionflower.

More research. Drug testing for THC is common even in states where it has been legalized. This is because on a Federal level it is not legal. The latest is the Federal government is going to leave it up to each state. How would that work? I mean how could the state validate or invalidate a Federal mandate?

As far as efficacy -- one dosage of marijuana tincture that is 50%THC and 50%CBD is highly effective at reducing anxiety without any "buzz" -- or any nervousness that may be produced by THC alone.

My research indicates that drug testing for THC can be done by police officers during traffic violations, employers at any time, even after being hired, and health care providers.

So those who are jealous of states where it is legalized...don't be. It is still taboo and legally troublesome. I was given a saliva swab test at my last job.

It is not a viable option for now, which is sad, because it did a nice job reducing my anxiety while not leaving me in any way zombie-fied, or hyper.

Screw that. That's why I am planning on working for myself as a freelancer or starting my own online business doing something such as reselling goods online or running my own ad supported website or blogging.

Being an employee is the same thing as being a slave; they want you to do what your told like a good little servant and they want everything in your live to revolve around their desires, yet they don't give you that much in return; just a paycheck that should be more but isn't because they are too greedy and would rather keep most of of it for their CEO who doesn't need any more money.

Nobody has a right to tell anybody else what they can and can't put in their body.

If my freelance work or online business ideas fail for some reason, I'm crazy enough that I would sell marijuana on the dark web or something while living out of my car because **** the system.
