Unhappy Harm OCD and Dealing with Accidents

So I was diagnosed with OCD almost 2 years ago. Since then I have developed ways to deal with it and have been doing pretty well until yesterday. My boyfriend and I were hanging out on the 4th of July just goofing around, and he bends down and picks me off of the floor no problem. Something he has done a hundred times. Except this time something goes wrong, yesterday we went to urgent care clinic and find out he is now permanently injured. He can't lift up anything that's remotely heavy. He's only 20, and he's permanently injured, and it's my fault. Normally I would talk to him about this but I don't want it to seem like I'm trying to make it all about me. This is devastating for the two of us, but it wouldn't be fair to burden him with my emotions as well as any that he's feeling.
I just feel so guilty, and I'm so afraid if I stop my compulsions he's going to get hurt again.
I'm just a tad... touched.

It's not your fault. Neither of you knew this would happen, and you've done it before. I know you feel like you have to blame yourself, but it isn't your fault.

If I had a dollar for every time I got distracted, I wish I had some ice cream.
