Default Can not eating fruits and vegetables cause problems?

Iíll eat frozen zucchini and squash. I had some broccoli at Christmas. But I canít remember the last time I had any fruit. I think it was sometime during the summer. Can not eating fruit cause diseases or other health problems? I have been feeling kind of sick lately and I canít tell if itís because of my moods and my depression or my diet.

Would the parents of a soggy boy with cotton candy in his nose please come to the medical tent!

I can't really answer your question for you authoritatively. I'm not anything even close to a nutritionist. I take it at face value that it's important to eat vegetables & fruits... probably more-so vegetables than fruit. However, if you're concerned about the nutritional completeness of your diet, perhaps consider taking a multivitamin? Here are links to 5 articles, from PC's archives, that talk about the link between diet & mental illness in general as well as depression in particular:

I would think fruits are a good source of vitamin C in particular. And, of course, veggies supply important vitamins too. And yes, a multivitamin will help, but it's best to get what we need from food. Also, the digestive tract is aided in its work by fruits and veggies, especially for fiber.
