My pdoc is concerned about the number and dose of sedating meds I'm on, and so wants me to start tapering them down.
The one I'm going to start with is risperidone - I'm at 5 mg daily, and I'm going to try to get down to 4 mg. I have a pretty good idea what I'm in for, and I can cope with it. The bigger scarier one to come off of is clonazepam. I've been taking some kind o f benzo since 1998 and have been on clonazepam since 2013. I take 3.5 mg / day. I've joined benzo buddies for support and am going to read the Ashton manual for ideas. I'll discuss it with my pdoc when I see him in January. My biggest fear is that he'll want to taper me too fast, while I want to go very slowly to minimize the withdrawal symptoms Any advice would be appreciated. splitimage
