I am going over today and not logging that well. I need to put the brakes on and start losing again. Last night's walk was the only exercise since Monday. Wind and rain from Florence from tonight until Sunday, so probably little or now exercise for the next few days.

EDIT - and like so many of my "over" days, it got a lot worse. Brownies...

Almost double goal. I would have to fast all day tomorrow to average it out...

My exercise did not go well. My performance stats tell me I have not pushed myself much at all, but I am still finding myself tired. It is like the effort is unusually sifficult. My heart rate was no where close to what it normally is by the end of a run. Other stats confirm this lack of effort. I think this is due to being unusually depressed. I ended up walking for the last 1.5 miles. This is not normal for me.

I have made 10822 steps. I ran and walked 4.63 miles. As a consequence, I have burned 324 calories. This is about 70 calories per mile. So this makes for a target of 2824 calories. However, I am moving over 250 calories from yezterdays overage. This means my adjusted target is 2574 calories. I have consumed 2510 calories. This leaves me short 64 calories short which is good enough for me.

@UpDownAround: What calories did you log in the past for briskly walking each mile?

Since I have stopped using my watch for calories burned, I may change my base calories back to 2300. Previously I made the adjustment to 2500 calories since I thought my watch was underestimating calories burned.

@Tucson - I have logged different amounts not really sure what is right but in the 50-60 range mostly. A lot of times it is just from being lazy and doing rough math (3.6 miles is about 200, for example).

Still not exercising and still very sore; I tried push ups and pull ups and they are too painful. I don't think I need to keep doing "regular" surfing. I still want to try SUP surfing in calmer conditions.

Yesterday ended up being ~3400! Planning to do a very low day to offset it since between the storm and being so sore I won't get much, if any, exercise.

I weigh now 175 pounds. I will cut my calorie intake to 2200 instead of 2300 that I have mentioned before. No exercise for me except maybe a couple times around the townhome complex.

Going over again, no exercise.We got lucky that the track changed and Florence didn't come directly here, but the track curves around us so that we are on the edge for days. We had tropical storm winds and rain last night and today, tropical depression winds and rain forecast for tomorrow, then just "regular" wind and rain for a couple of additional days. From Tuesday on they are calling for partly cloudy and high 80s so I will get more paddling in. I am going to pick up a used rowing machine on Monday if the person really holds it (CL).

I made 4616 steps. I walked and ran 2.9 miles. I have burned about 204 calories. This makes for a target of 2704. However, for the last time, I am moving over the overage from a couple days ago of 250 cslories. This makes for an adjusted target of 2464 calories. I have consumed 2236 calories. Perhaps a couple Graham Cracker sheets can fix this. For tomorrow, I am reducing my base calorie intake down to 2200 calories. I apparently have gained weight over the past two weeks. I am thinking at least two pounds. This new calorie intake should slow this down.

My performance stats are miserable. Another day where I had trouble pushing myself. However, I am noticing my continued improvement in my fitness level. I am gojng to take Saturday off and go at it again Sunday.

As far as calories burned, I have had to make some WAGs in terms of my pace. I need to monitor this carefully for both when I run and when I walk. Both now have equal contribuion to energy spent. Perhaps running and walking, each half the time, is too ambitious. I may need to go back to running for a quarter of the time, and walking for three quarters of the time. I will try this on Sunday. BTW I need to increase my protein intake.

My weight is 173 today. I am not going to exercise. As a consequence, I will need to watch what I eat. Since I am restricting my calorie intake to 2200 calories, no Cocos apple pie for me. I should make my menu for today in advance.
