It's been another night of overeating for me...days are usually ok and then I get home from work and can't stop eating.

Only been eating twice a day for awhile now. I know this isn't good. I'm just so tired when I get home from work (around 10:30pm) that I don't feel like fixing anything. I just go to bed.

As long as those 2 meals are healthy meals, I don't think it's critical that you only eat 2 meals a day unless it's causing problems or starting to cause excessive weight loss but that usually doesn't happen if the 2 meals are good. Anemia doesn't happen from eating either if you are eating healthy food when you are eating.

Feeling uncomfortable about dinner, but I ate a fairly ok portion. Probably a bit too much, but better than previous days recently.

I had a dream last night that I lost all the weight I wanted to but it turns out I had been in a coma. OMG. Not going to do that. It's a hard day for me, the anniversary of my mom's death. She died of cancer 13 years ago. I really don't feel like eating much today but I did have a piece of toast and a banana. I think I'm going to make a salad. Might put some tofu in it, too. All that eating last week made my weight go up a little. This is truly a battle for me to lose weight. I am obese. I have quite a bit to lose. My problem is lack of exercise.

I understand that feeling. My Mom died of cancer 11 years ago. I have had problems with the fall time of year because that was when I started to realize that my mom's cancer wasn't getting better & then the trauma with the home care person hit. Fall weather triggers the PTSD that I struggles with after it was over. Though the years have helped a lot, not feeling like eating has always been a part of what comes with this time of year all related to her death from the cancer....I understand what you are feeling

I relate. My PTSD has been going crazy and not sure why. Having nightmares at times, intrusive thoughts and images, feeling down, feel like I'm awake when I'm dreaming, feeling strange. There were problems when my mom was in hospice. I actually binged on my gummy calcium chewys! I'm not going to buy them any more. I'm sorry you are going through this now, too. For me time has not changed it this year. I have felt lousy all week long. I drank some wine last night and that made me feel somewhat better. But I don't want to do that all the time either. Thanks eskielover.

My "meals" aren't really meals. PB&J for lunch before I leave for work and another PB&J for lunch at work with some junk. Not good healthy meals. Five days a week that is what I eat for the day. If my daughter is home we have meat, veggie, and fruit. If she isn't home, then I seldom eat. I know this is not good and that I need to change what and when and how much I eat. One meal at a time...

There are meals when all I eat is cantaloupe with cottage cheese. I look at it as fruit, dairy & protein all wrapped up in one dish & I need quick & easy most of the time or I won't eat at all, so that's better than not eating.

IMO, PB & J is good. You are getting bread/starch....PB is wonderful protein, & J even though it's got a lot of sugar, you do get some fruit.

Eating alone is never easy & cooking for one person is the most difficult thing I do.

The one thing I do love is my BBQ which I hadn't used much this summer but it's so easy to just throw a steak on or a slab of salmon onto the gas grill & poof, it's done in no time & adds a great flavor. Though the other night when I was BBQing my salmon I ran out of the propane. Luckily it was right at the end & my Salmon was finished being cooked.

I understand your struggle when eating alone though & many times when I've been working out in the yard, I'm just too tired to even want to think about cooking. If I don't have a quick salad to throw together or something easy, I just don't bother eating & that is really a lot less healthy than PB & J.

Be happy that you are eating even that during the difficult times rather than turning to not eating at all.

Did you ever eat and just feel like it's yuck and you don't want to eat it? That's how I felt about breakfast. I gave a lot to my dog. I have to start getting food I like better. Think I am going to buy some hot cereals for breakfast, those are nourishing.
