I'd suggest retesting as well, Dnester. I agree with Betty_Banana. I don't think it would be useless. Even if you did have the same diagnosis, at least you would know for sure. And if it was different, you'd be able to get the treatment you need and deserve. It doesn't hurt to try, right? What do you have to lose? I don't think meds would affect your diagnosis significantly, and even if they did, your doctors should know that and be able to get you a proper diagnosis based on the information they have. Please do consider it. Talk to your doctor about this and see how it goes from there. I hope things will get better soon. Feel free to PM me anytime. Let me know if I can do something to help you. Wish you good luck! Let us know how it goes. Sending many hugs to you

I think maybe the best thing right now Dnester is for you and your treatment providers to be focusing on and working on your OCD and hypochondria(both things you said you have). Then you can become stable enough to address any dissociative problems.

Even if you do have DID or OSDD as you have said it's not going to hurt to put them on the back burner for a bit. They don't seem to be your most concerning or pressing issues right now.

My hypochondria is doing as well as I can expect right now. We are working on the Ocd in our sessions as well. I told my T today my old psychologist wont retest me. She suggested I work with her in May with the OSDD part since that is her speciality. I asked her more about the OSDD and was I a or b and what exactly my diagnosis through her is and she said that worrying about a diagnosis doesnt help me it is mainly for medication and billing. She said symptoms are what we need to focus on so we can feather out diagnoses.

Regardless of the therapy, it makes you wonder what the costs are and more...DID, OSDD, BPD, GAD,....
