Default My venting post...

So I decided I'm going to make one post and just add my vents instead of making a new post for each one.

I'm finding it hard to push through the days. With everything that has been happening and stuff that keeps piling up.

An assistant manager where I work has hit my last nerve today. He keeps butting into my sales and generally acting like I don't know what I am doing. He was lucky today when he butted into one of my sales the district managers were in the store, so I had to watch my mouth. Next time it happens, he is going to hear it a lot worse than I've been giving him. Today he stayed for an hour after he signed out for the day. It seems I don't know how to handle deliveries and the whopping 2 customers we had at the time.

I'm ok with getting fired at this point. The stupidity that keeps happening has gotten out of hand. I was yelled at by 5 customers today because other people didn't do their jobs. things like forgetting to order parts, forgetting to send parts just to name a couple. I did my best to help these customers and thanks to my luck, there was at least one complaint with my name on it. So when I get a talking to about it, I will make sure the bosses know what they can do with the complaint.

I hope if you do get fired, or perhaps quit (?), you'll be able to find another (better) job. Of course I don't know where you live, or how the job market is there. But here where I live it seems everyone is hiring. There are signs everywhere. I'm amazed by this because, when I was young & where I grew up, the only way you got a job was if you knew somebody who could get you in somewhere. Anyway... hope things begin turning more in your favor.

Do you report directly to the assistant manager? What I mean is can he fire you or do you have a different boss?

I'm so sorry, nouseforaname It looks like your job is being very stressful for you. Could you try to look for another job? Is that an option? I know it's not easy, but it may be worth a shot if your job is stressing you out so much. If this assistant manager is bothering you, can you complain about it to your boss? Do you feel like there may be consequences? I feel like you have every right to be in a safe workplace. I'm so sorry, please don't give up. I hope things will get better for you soon. Try to hang on. You can do this! You're strong, I know that. Keep writing here if it helps. If it can help a bit... I'm here for you. I'll listen to what you have to say. I care about you. Feel free to PM me anytime. Let me know if I can do something to help. Wish you good luck! Let us know how it goes. Sending many hugs to you

I work in retail, but with what I would say to him it will not matter if he had the power to fire me. Jobs are hard to get around here. It took me years to get this one to get out from under the thumb of a big corporation.

Only chance I would have is getting fired, so then I have a chance to try and get unemployment for a few months. Then I'll be homeless, which I will never deal with. I'm not someone employers are looking to hire.

Reason I was asking is maybe you could talk to another boss or his boss about his micromanaging. Assuming you do your job well he has no business being up your *** about everything.

I have been in an eff everything mood for a few weeks now. There is no "talking it out" or telling our boss. If this guy can't grasp my frustration that's on him. I did tell him once, in a nice way to let me do my job. So when he gets an ear full, eff him. Nothing will happen if I tell on him to the boss. I'll just be told to ignore it and the manager will have a talk with him. which will never happen. Either way I'm just a bottom guy.

Lol, things can get better. Again, this was supposed to be the better. Things seemed to be better than life said "hahaha eff you, didn't forget about you, you thought things were going to get better, hahaha". On top of all that, I was put into dispatching to learn how to do that, because surprise it's the new thing I have to learn, since I'll be doing it starting next week for a couple days a week. At this point I'm just being set up to be fired or quit. This is the kind of company that will do what they can so they don't have to pay unemployment.

At least I feel sick every time I eat something, so maybe since I can't eat anything I could just starve.

Had the confrontation with the a-hole today. He butted into my sale, so I walked away to work on another project I was asked to do. He brings out the stuff for the customer and tried to hand it to me. He tells me here's the stuff for those guys, I told him great job finish it now since you want to micromanage. The customers in the store all leave and I'm not sure if he was trying to embarrass me or whatever but he says "I was helping you because you got the customers the wrong parts". That pushed me, I screamed at him about how he micromanages me and all. I also make mention of how the customers gave me the wrong info and until he butted in I was fixing the issue. I then told him if he does it again I'm not responsible for what may happen.

He said something else as he walked away, I ignored him. A few minutes later I got a text from the gm to call him back when I get a chance. I texted him back and told him I knew why he wants to talk and that we will talk when we work together again. This will be tuesday, the gm only works monday to friday.

So today was the day I was thrown to the wolves at work and told to do a position I had no clue how to do. Of course what could go wrong went wrong. We were down 2 people and it was one of our busiest days in awhile, for a company that does a lot of business.

I'm hoping that my terrible performance today will stop them asking me to fill in for this position in the future. The day started out great, with the cold weather we have at the moment, my car struggled to start this morning and I had to do a few things to get it to start.
