I dont have a specific one to share right now, just a general observation to make about how much the slightest human interaction seems to matter to me. If for some reason itís negative ó indifference, hostilityó it stays with me and affects my mood for the rest of the day or beyond. If someone is kind or helps me with something I really need help with, it gives me a glow that I try to hang on to for as long as I can.

this happened on a show I watched, but felt I needed to share it because it's so nice

a woman in the show didn't react in time to save a stroke victim ( she thought he was just drunk and had collapsed), so he went to hospital and got permanent damage

a little while later he was released from the hospital. he was unable to comunicate via voice, but he wrote a note and made it a point to find her and say he forgives her for everything, even though he doesn't know who she is

I thought that was lovely

Was walking home with groceries in the rain one day. Busy lapse in judgment: paper bag + moisture = bag malfunction and groceries falling on the ground. I was embarrassed and felt stupid. A nice man came over and helped me to gather up my groceries. He smiled warmly and said: "Don't worry about it, no biggie." I hope he's having a great day wherever he is.

I had a nice chat with someone new and then received a warm hug and "good luck to you"

A really helpful phone network staff person attentively and patiently answered all of my questions and told me what to do when my phone disappeared. A wonderful person found and safely returned my phone! Two great men in this world!

My significant other couldn't find the ticket he'd received for a reduced rate on extended parking. He was becomingly increasingly stressed and desperately searching his car. Between the two of us we could NOT find that ticket! As he pulled up to the pay station, he saw a prominent sign with the cost for a lost ticket in bold letters. It was an extortionate amount. I watched his face fall as he pulled up to the station. He's a good man who works really hard. He explained what happened and how long he'd been parked. With a smile, and zero fuss, the parking station worker said: "Don't worry about it, I'll charge you the amount you would pay with your ticket." Her understanding saved him a LOT of money (which he didn't owe) and his stress level immediately dropped. Wishing her peace and joy wherever she is now

Great thread and Iím glad it has continued. Iím reminded that my small acts of kindness do mean something... somewhere in the world... even if I donít always realize it. And it encourages me to continue doing it. I appreciate being let into a busy line of traffic, strangers holding doors instead of letting them slam in my face, people smiling back at me when I smile.

Two days ago a complete stranger paid for my groceries. The grocery clerk told me that he likes to do that. I felt guilty at the time. I know there are those who needed this more than me. But I know he felt good helping me in this way. Btw my groceries cost $128! I gave him a hug and a heartfelt thanks. People like this inspire and give hope.
