Default Listening to music

Sometimes music helps when I'm not doing so well. Don't know if things will get better. I'm feeling really depressed like what's the point. so I'm just listening to music. Gotta love van halen.

Same here, I've made a playlist with all the songs that calms me down when I'm feeling anxious or hopeless.
Glad you can at least find some comfort in something - and hope you'll feel better

My PAndora list is extremely diverse. I think I have a station for most any mood. I listen to many different genres. I really helps my moods.

I listen to music when I feel depressed too....well all the time really but no one there to monitor that! I just let my iPod shuffle, but when I feel really low, I bring out all the stops. Currently when I feel really down I listen to All I Need by Radiohead.

Music therapy is a thing that I would like to get into sometime.

I always have the music going when I am on my PC. My Pandora list is not really diverse, and its usually the same songs over and over, but for some reason the repetition soothes me. Either way, music therapy is absolutely awesome.

Yes, there is a thing called Music Therapy and you have to go for years for a degree in it. I myself play piano and am taking flute lessons. I love just about all music and need to get the right songs on the radio for thee mood Im in.

I agree. Music can be a great healer. I have to say though , and this is a reality for me personally, that sometimes music can be the very opposite and make me very melancholic. ď Back in the dayĒ I would listen to certain music that exacerbated my depression, making things worse. Also I would connect certain songs with events. It was pretty intense. But now that Iím older I still like to listen to that music but it doesnít have the same effect that it did then.
Still have to deal with depression, just that music isnít as intense anymore. Guess you just get burned out after awhile. And a little mellower ?
I have to say that a lot of the lyrics of songs back in the 60ís and 70ís turned out to be very enlightening and prophetic! Then and now !
