My Mood: Moving On

Default Moving On

Moving do you do that?

When you've made a mistake (I guess particularly unintentionally) how do you move on from it? How do you make your peace with it and then let it go? I have the hardest time with letting go of mistakes I've made. I carry guilt around with me forever.

I've made an unintentional mistake recently, and it was brought to my attention today. I will apologize to the main person involved shortly (and terrified isn't quite good enough to describe how I feel). Then what? How do I let it go and not carry around the baggage afterwards? How do I move on?

I'm definitely having an emotional flashback, and I'm embarrassed of course. When this has happened in the past...scratch that...the past still feels like the present in a lot of ways. I'm falling back into feeling like I'm too embarrassed to be seen even. I'll probably avoid being seen by any of them. I don't know if it's appropriate to even talk to any of them anymore.

Ugh...LIFE...I don't know how to do life.

Well...I just talked to her. I apologized. ..It was better than expected! Praise Yah! I know that her kindness to me will go a long way into helping me to move on. She actually apologized to me for the behavior shown towards me (from the people who brought my mistake to my attention). She said I had nothing to be sorry about, and if anyone else asks to tell them to speak with her about it.

I am SO relieved. HalleluYah. I'm still a bit on edge, but I feel better. I just don't want to hang on to this. Hopefully it's over now and that will be the end of it. Oy vey.
