This may not work for everybody but you can make some extra cash. At the Casino, where I work, I was approached by somebody; "do you like driving?".
Well now I am one car inspection away from becoming an Uber driver. All you need is clean rap sheet (background check, driving record and a car that works and it is clean). Even on SSDI you can make some extra cash, increase your self-worth, get out of the house and meet people, who actually will pay for you to drive them). I am told on the online forums that most seasoned people drive with Uber and their arch competitor Lyft (some even use a 3rd company, too)
There is a forum that is unbiased and is a wealth of information...check them out first before get too carried away...

I use Uber and Lyft instead of cabs now. Some drivers drive for both companies at the same time. I love both services because they are half the price of taking a cab! All of my Uber and Lyft drivers have interesting stories. Good Luck!

Uber/Lyft driver here though I haven't driven in nearly 2 months. A lot going on - hence the reason I'm here. I like it, but Lyft isn't as popular here and Uber keeps cutting the prices, but not THEIR cut. Kind of irritated me and I had such high hopes for it.

There is a new player where I live that is just for women. I really want to drive for them but can't figure out how to get the gig just around the area where I live. I don't want to be driving into the city if I can avoid it. Does anyone know if you can set a limit on where you want to go. I would like to provide assistance for elderly women who are in the most vulnerable position and just need to go to the supermarket.
