Oh, I guessed I never stopped being a "child"... not having been a child!... at heart.

I recently went to build a bear and you could tell that the woman behind the counter who helped make the bears wasn't impressed

she didn't say anything, but I could tell by her attitude and her lack of enthusiasm she was thinking oh, my, god. how old is this person insisting that she wants to kiss the heartbeat before putting it in the bear?

I didn't get to kiss it

I was sort of embarrassed, I suppose, everyone around me was... 3, or 4, perhaps a few younger people, and I suppose I do understand why the woman wasn't impressed

still though. it made me feel a little out of place

Not forget but heal? Maybe with time?
I don’t think forgetting is a realistic goal.. but maybe to heal.

Outside approval is your addiction?

How do you nurture your inner child?

I wouldn’t want to do the “build a bear” ... I do have some stuffies for my inner cub though

I don’t think you can ever forget. I’m very sorry for your pain and I’m sorry there’s no simple answer to easing it. Each day is a new day and a chance to make your life into what you want it to be. It can’t all be perfect.... You deserve some happiness and blessings though and I hope that’s what you find.

I don't think I'd want to do it again either.

sure it was fun, but it wasn't what I expected
