Thatís probably not fun and assume you mean body dymporphia disorder. Sorry if my spelling is off for dysmorphia.

I'm so sorry you're struggling, themagicman Please don't give up. Do you see a therapist? I'm so sorry you have to deal with this

How is your therapist approaching it, if it is ok to ask?

My last T (I currently have no providers, thanks to losing insurance) tried a kind of body acceptance/appreciation exercise (like... thinking up or down, pausing at each area saying things like, "thank you legs for getting me around"). I'd choke up approaching the problem area and just start crying. It was a very intense feeling, and I didn't feel like it helped at all, (though I very much liked my T, this exercise just missed the mark for me, so I'm curious to know other approaches).

My therapist and I just started talking about it..So far she hasn't really said much about it...I think I'm going to look for another therapist.

I'm sorry, it's not a fun thing to deal with. I'm glad you've gotten the diagnosis, though, because hopefully this is the first step to working on it.
