Default Weird anxiety where time just feels slow

I have this quite often these days, i cant sit or lie down, I'll just keep walking in circles, listening to music on my phone, but i keep changing songs cause nothing seems fast or heavy enough. Videogames are too stressful. I try to smoke a cigarette but it does nothing.

It lasts for an hour or so, weird panicky feeling. Thoughts racing through my mind, its just chaos.

I have no advice, but just wanted to thank you because you've also managed to describe my experience...though in my case I try to ease it with food. I can lose half a day or so to it.

It sounds like your anxiety attacks make you become impatient. It does that to me too. However, here lately my attacks have gotten much worse. In my experiences, when I have an attack it feels like I'm going absolutely fast while everything around me is moving slow or not moving at all. I hate how anxiety gives me way too much energy and adrenaline. So much so that it makes me sick.

I know right!

It's like I have to do something but I don't know what.

I get all edgy, I will pace around the house, walk around in circles really fast. Change songs like every 10 seconds.

Sometimes it helps me to focus on "Square Breathing". Actually count it out while you do it. Anxiety usually makes us take short rapid breaths so doing this exercise helps to slow you down. Panic is the worst feeling in the world.

Inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, exhale for 6 seconds and hold for 2 seconds. Then repeat.

I never labelled it 'panic' until now. It makes sense.

Interesting. I will try this and hope it works for me. Problem with me is I often get discouraged if it doesn't work right away.

Gosh..if only I knew how to stop those moments. I've been on medicine and I need to return to my doctor to get a refill, but something is keeping me from making the call. I need to make the call..

(phone calls make me anxious)

I have been feeling like this since I finished my college semester last week. I also haven't been doing a lot of mindfulness or meditation lately

Meds (or withdrawal from them) can make me restless like that.
