want to go to the gym and walk on the tred mill but have had too much to drink to safely go there 1 mile away.
don't want to take a chance and get a DWI, that would ruin my life.
I have not been on the computer that much since I am some what depressed.

3mg of prolonged release melatonin at night
5mg zyprexa at night

magnesium 1000mg, probiotic, turmeric twice a day,

vit c 1000mg, fish oils 1000mg ,co-q10 100mg,
multi-vitamin and mineral,
11 pills at noon

Bizi, I'm sorry you weren't able to go to the gym but good decision not to drive after drinking. Maybe next time, you can remember you want to go to the gym and use that desire to help you resist drinking.

I’ve been cutting down ready for my detox in a couple of weeks. But the last couple of days have been a real struggle and I’m drinking more again. This morning when I woke up I was so anxious and seriously thought “I could just have a drink and feel alright” but I refrained. It’s terrifying though. Because I’ve always said “I don’t need a drink in the morning” and this morning I really really did.

hi i have never done a check in can;t tell you why... i have been an addict all my life and did well for some years in the 90s but now i can't make it thru a week. 1 day 1day

Welcome to the thread Tams,


I don't know if this would be an option for you, but have you ever considered treatment, either residential or outpatient. It can be very helpful in letting you get a base of sober time to build on.


I don't know what your substance is, but maybe a frank talk with your Dr. is in order. There are meds that can make the withdrawal process less awful, which is particularly important with alcohol as alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous. There are also a number of anti craving meds that can help you stay clean/sober.

Really struggled yesterday with wanting beer. It's been so hot here and I don't have AC, just fans, and the heat is really starting to get to me.



But I didn't order any, and just kept chugging diet gingerale instead.
