Poll Meetup in Boston, Mass.

So we'd love for members to plan and organize their own local meetups. Any public place will do, but often a bar works best.

I'd like to propose the first one for Boston, MA on Saturday, June 27, 2015.

Ideas for a good location are welcomed! Ideally looking for a place we can reserve some space in, and close to a T stop for those who are local.

Best,
DocJohn

I have no idea what state I will be living in by June. I love in NH now and would be able to go to the Boston area if I am still here in June.

Or a hotel for those that don't drink.

I might be able to attend. My son has been to Boston three times and has friends there but I have never been to Boston. We would likely travel by train or bus. Can someone recommend a hotel nearby and hopefully one near restaurants/shopping?

There are literally hundreds of hotels in Boston, so you might want to wait a bit until we settle on the exact location before making reservations.

I'll also try and get some of our regular contributors and/or editors who are in the area to attend, as this we'd like this to be an opportunity for folks to get to meet some of the folks behind the site too.

I was thinking more of a cocktail hour sort of thing, where we'd serve food and such, but not so much a sit-down event. Sitting down means you don't get to mingle with as many others, depending upon the numbers who come of course.

Best,
DocJohn

Thumbs up Re: Meetup in Boston, Mass.

At least I have enough head's up time! I have family in Boston area (Buzzard's Bay, W Wareham)...and closer...but would still have to fly into Logan <gasp>...

was saving my money for something else...but I'll think about this too.

None of the Pubs I saw while there last (years ago) were big enough for a large group...going to take a local to pick on imo.
