It does not much good and just adds more confusion to the problem. Some good was becasue of more experiences were added to help the person.

Let's family members know what's going on.

I can't speak honestly in front of my parents.

It seems to take personal issues and make them the problem of the whole family. I don't like that, but maybe it works for some people.

creates more tension, cant be fully honest

My brief stint with family therapy was utterly useless and very stressful. The only thing that came from it was heightened tempers.
