Default Favorite funny movies/ TV shows?

While you're thinking about your favorite movies on a related thread, what are your favorite funny movies and/or TV shows, that you would recommend to your friends here at PC?

I always enjoy watching "Short Circuit 1" and "Short Circuit 2." And, dating myself, I always liked to watch "The Carol Burnett Show" and now "The Big Bang Theory" and "(Bleep)! My Dad Says." What do you folks find funny?

Well, I sure am striking out in getting much response to this question. I was hoping to compile a list, since I know that humor can even have a healing effect on mental problems...And then I was going to go buy some of them--for myself--and also for mental wards.

I also like the old TV show "Third Rock From the Sun." It was even recommended by a book on depression.

I have never been into sitcoms much but I did like these...

Frasier (for reasons obvious to many of us on here)
Cheers
Everybody Loves Raymond
MASH
Two and a Half Men
The Middle
Gilmore Girls (possibly the most intelligently written show ever)
Seinfeld
The Colbert Report
Monty Python's Flying Circus

Movies...

The Princess Bride
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Time Bandits
Johnny Dangerously
Heathers
Groundhog Day
A Fish Called Wanda
Trading Places
Napoleon Dynamite
Zombieland

Some great things have been mentioned - Big Bang Theory I really like, Seinfeld, Frasier, The Daily Show. As for movies, Back to the Future - perfect. Also a lot of Steve Martin - Three Amigos, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Those are always great. Fully echo The Princess Bride too! "Do you know what that word means? I don't think it means what you think it means"...

I've been trying to get into some really old comedy recently, renting things like the Marx Brothers, Buster Keaton, Jacques Tati - it's really interesting to get back to the roots.

I love watching the movie "Benchwarmers". For some reason, that movie always gives me a good belly laugh, no matter how many times I watch it

I love the new show Raising Hope! I also like Avatar the Last Airbender (cartoon) which has a lot of funny moments. Glee is pretty goo also, though I haven't been liking the new season as much. I do not watch many movies... though I saw "The Other Guys" a while ago and thought it was very funny.
