I checked one site on the internet for you, Lil Ant Lady, and it confirms that
migraine headaches do occur in cyclothymia.

It did not indicate that they occur consistently with each event, however.

I hope you'll check with your doctor about it. He may have some help for you regarding relief.

I'm sorry this is happening to you.

Do the headaches occur when your hypo-manic (becoming increasingly hyper) or hyper-manic (after reaching a manic peak)? I find that I get migraine headaches that last for several days (with varying intensities) after I've become very manic.

I get a lot more headaches (not migranes,) when I'm manic. I also get a head "pressure." It isn't pain, it just feels like my head is full of water, or that I'm under water. Or like someone is pushing on my forehead. It's very strange feeling, but the faster my thoughts race the more pressure I feel.

Aaaargh get those too, I don't even know I'm acting really hyper and then BAM especially at night when I'm trying do unwind the headache hits and then I think about my day and realise WOW I was kinda busy and multitasking doing other peoples jobs as well as mine. Think I overload my brain...

Lack of sleep and eating plus excessive smoking can cause a migraine for me. "Hypomania" does involve no desire to eat or sleep and lots of smoking for me

Funny you should mention it, tension headaches are generally how I realize I'm hypomanic.
